God is ever graceful : Always Remember

The views expressed in this post are based on divine knowledge of a God realized saint – 5th Orginal Jagad Guru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. I am presenting this here on my blog so that few of us may be benefited by tasting the divine nectar of eternal spiritual love.

Always Remember

  • There are three eternal entities – Almighty, the individual soul and Maya. However the Almighty is the governor of both Maya and individual.
  • Almighty is the embodiment of bliss. Therefore being His part, the individual soul naturally desires only bliss.
  • Divine Bliss is unlimited, ever-increasing and eternal.
  • The unlimited Divine Bliss desired by the individual soul can be attained only by the grace of Shri Krishn.
  • Shri Krishn’s grace can only be attained by surrender to Him.
  • It is the “mind” alone that has to be surrendered to Shri Krishn and engaged in devotional practices like hearing, chanting, remembrance etc.
  • The mind alone is the cause of bondage and liberation.
  • One should constantly attach his mind to Shri Krishn, His names, His forms, His qualities, pastimes, Divine abodes and His devotees.
  • Always feel the presence of your Guru and your Almighty as your protector.
  • Avoid fault-finding. These are impediments in your devotional practice.
  • By constantly thinking about the faults of others, your intellect gradually gets contaminated by these faults.
  • Finding faults in others is a definite proof that you yourself have those faults.
  • Shri Kishn resides within each and every living being.
  • The desire to appear good in the eyes of others is the major cause of our spiritual downfall.
  • Before the attainment of Almighty, the individual soul remains under control of Maya.
  • As long as the individual soul is under the control of the Maya, all faults like lust, anger, greed will remain within us.
  • In spite of presence of all faults within us, we do not admit to having them.
  • Actually one who criticizes us is our well-wisher.
  • One should not harbour resentment even towards someone who is actually condemnable, because Shri Krishn resides even in his heart.
  • One should remain neutral towards someone who is actually condemnable.
  • Do not procrastinate in the matter of spiritual practice, as the human body is transient.
  • One’s speech should be sweet and to the point.
  • One should not talk about any other subject matter except Shri Krishn and matters related to His service.
  • Only moments spent in the sweet remembrance of Shri Krishn are worthwhile otherwise we are sinning at every moment.
  • At bedtime you should keep an account of offences you have committed during the day.
  • Limit your friendships and limit your interaction with others.
  • Exercise caution in speech and speak sweetly.
  • If you desire to be a true devotee, you must see Shri Krishn in each and every being.
  • Do not insult or offend anyone. Do not hurt anyone by harsh words or by bad behavior.
  • It is the greatest sin to hurt anyone by your words or actions.
  • Constantly develop feeling of forbearance, humility and submissiveness.
  • Learn to control your anger even if someone makes a mistake.
  • Always keep in min that death can approach you at anytime. Who knows whether you will live the next moment.

The Beauty of Our Creator

I thought to write this post and express my views on the Creator – God. I have not been a philosophy student but lately I have been enlightened with facts which we all ignore in our daily lives. We are proud as a species – we create problems for ourselves and then say loudly oh, we found solutions! Recently I was told by a friend that scientists have found solutions to global warming. But I would like to ask all intelligent souls – what is the need to create such problems and why cannot we live in peace. We invent atom bomb and then atom bomb kills us (recently in Japan). We are so egoistic about our so-called knowledge and intelligence, that we dare to challenge supreme power sometimes in our unconsciousness. We feel pride in cloning and discoveries of new objects, but are we not using the ingredients already existing on earth?

Our knowledge is so limited that we are still not able to understand with our logic, the chemistry behind an atom. We know there is a proton,  an electron and a neutron. But who tells these sub-atomic particles to have a definite charge and mass? We are not able to identify that supreme power governing the universe even at sub-atomic levels. We are making efforts in identification of number of galaxies, planets and so on. But we are not willing to accept, it is infinite.

In our daily lives, we accept small things without logic. When we are ill, we go to doctor and he says you have a serious problem, we immediately surrender to him without logic that how to know if doctor is genuine and we will not take treatment. We trust that doctor will treat us well. But when it comes to accepting the authority of scriptures, Vedas, Bhagwad – language of God, we have our doubts in place!

God resides in every one – living and non living. But we have our doubts and we continue to feel that we are alone and do sins. It is impossible to gain complete knowledge with our limited minds, limited eyes we can’t see beyond few meters, limited ears we cannot hear below and above a certain range, limited voice – we can’t speak beyond a pitch and volume and limited diet – we cannot eat beyond a certain limit and we vomit in case of over-eating. We know we are limited but we are not willing to accept it due to our ego.

God who is the creator of this universe sits peacefully and in eternal divine bliss. He is complete in Himself and He smiles at our foolishness. We go to temples and worship Him with our physical body. We do meditation without imagination or thoughts about Him. All these go futile in spiritual world.  Love for God which is felt with heart is true spiritual love. All I wrote above will sound Greek to some of us, but thanks for reading!

Who is mine?

Well I am no authority to say anything and all views expressed here are only mine. In my last post on “Who am I“, I did try to explain with the grace of my Guru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, that I am a soul. I am not body. I am a soul which is eternal, divine and a part of that supreme power – God, happiness, peace or Ram or Krishna.

The next question which arises is : “Who is mine?“. Mine includes relations which must be eternal simply because of the logic that if I am a soul and I am eternal, then how can the worldly relations (- which make and break often – family members die, friends fall apart, divorces happen between couples) be mine? Mine will be something which has been eternal and divine and that is God-the divine power.

Let us understand the same scientifically. One of the properties of matter : every particle of matter behaves like the main substance. For instance : a drop of water will behave like water – it may not have the same power as 1 glass of water to quench your thirst or bucket or gallons of water to extinguish fire but that one drop of water will be H2O only. In similar context, since we all souls are micro particles of that one supreme power/supreme bliss/supreme happiness/peace,   we seek only happiness throughout our life.  Our each and every task is to seek happiness. We never desire grief. This has been happening since we are there and yes we are as old as God. Well happiness, peace and God are all synonyms. When we were born, we cried why? Because we wanted happiness and the pain which we felt while we were born – we did not want that.

But sadly, we seek happiness in worldly pleasures – money, fame, status, gold, silver, eatables, travel and thus we get disappointed as worldly happiness is but short-lived. If we seek happiness and make efforts towards divine world, we can get happiness that would be everlasting and that is God.

This is the philosophy of my Divine Guru – JagadGuru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj.  I feel so blessed and lucky that I found Him in this birth.
